~ OPTIONS ~

HRG  High-resolution gearing option for -SYS or -RIM systems above.  Specify 2x or 4x resolution increase. Standard visual resolving ability with the above Dob-Driver II drives is typically better than subarcsecond at the eyepiece during use on any common Dobsonian product - which is fine for most all observation and simple imaging with this system.  According to your aperture size (Dawes limit) and sky quality you would select an HRG option below if the skies you are observing in would permit it.  Normally the elevation you have during observations will be the limiting factor for resolving power regardless of the instrument size or aperture.  Tech2000 will advise.
Note this option causes a like reduction in slew speed which is mainly pertinent during a two-star beginning procedure (standard slew is typ. better than 4 deg/Sec on large scopes and 8 deg/Sec on 6-10" class - HRG 2x or 4x will reduce these slew speeds by a like amount).
HRG-2x is recommended for more torque and resolving power on 13" and up (or 10" and up if imaging).  HRG-4x is recommended on telescopes 25" and up (or 16" and up if imaging) to obtain research-grade torque and precision.
These HRG options are easily changeable at any time after the purchase of a Dob-Driver II system, at "This-For-That" no extra charge if you decide to change within the 30-day trial period allowed for new orders - after you have done your "Test-Drives" on your instrument.  Later than that and we must call the motor-gear unit "used" and you keep it and the prices are shown separately below for old upgrades.

New sys HRG-2x: $68  Double resolution and torque typically 20ft-Lbs/0.5a-s
New sys HRG-4x: $88  Research resolution and torque typically 40ft-Lbs/0.25a-s.
Rebuild/upgrade old drives (Send drive module to Tech2000 for refurbish & checkout):
    HRG-2x:  $136
    HRG-4x:  $176

DDR2-PCR  PC-link interface w/ ROBOSCOPE disk over 13,000 objects, any and all sky charts work on Win9x or even just any old DOS machine will operate the drive!  All Ra/Dec entries are valid from magazines or internet or your books - so long as the object is up in your sky (anywhere you are in the world) from horizon to zenith - Roboscope will go get it and track it automatically.  3.5" floppy, 14' cord to hand pendant.              $99  FOR ALTAZ (Dobs or Giro heads etc.) ONLY!

DDR2-CCD  ST4-compatible CCD autoguider interface (6-wire phone jack standard) works with all compatible drive interfaces to automatically stay ON TARGET with maximum accuracy during photo or visual use.  $39
